GES is equally involved in research and technology development for oil sands producers and in association with universities to find new solutions to minimize our environmental footprint. The research that we have conducted has allowed us to find out how to optimize remediation of diesel contaminated soils using Hydrogen Peroxide. We have also found out how to achieve dewatering of tailing pond facilities in much reduced timelines (from 40 years to about 7 years) so that the landscape may be reinstated back to how was prior to oil sands development as quickly as possible.
